About Sparky's Kennels
Sparky's Kennels is a small family owned kennel located in Le Mars, IA. Our dogs are AKC registered and come from strong hunting bloodlines. At Sparky's Kennels, we strive to raise Labradors that are great family companions with quality hunting skills.
Our Dogs
Zipper
Zipper is a 75lb, 4 year old 3 generation AKC registered Black Lab. Zipper loves everything about hunting and is an excellent retriever. He is obsessed with water and will never turn down a game of fetch! He is a driven, loyal, and well-trained lab that listens well to commands.
Zipper is OFA hips excellent, elbows normal. He is clear for EIC and CNM.
Hazel
Hazel is a 55lb, female 3 generation AKC registered chocolate lab. She comes from a champion bloodline of pointing labs. Hazel is a friendly, well-mannered lab that is proving to be a great first time mom.

Skye
Skye is a black lab we kept from Hazel and Zipper's first litter. Skye is an energetic puppy with much drive similar to her sire, Zipper! We are excited to get her on some birds for her first hunting season! Skye will be added to our breeding line after she is 2 years old and has her genetic testing completed.
Available Litters
Currently we have no litters available. All puppies from Hazel and Zipper's 2nd litter went to their new homes in October. We anticipate our next litters to be in December of 2022 and January of 2023. If you are interested in being placed on our waiting list for our next litters, please reach out to us.

Puppy Information
All puppies will be available at 8 weeks of age. Our puppies dewclaws were removed within the first 3 days of life, wormed at least three times, given their first vaccines, and taken to the vet for a well-puppy checkup. The vet checks the eyes, mouth, heart, lungs, and joints.
Puppies with limited AKC registration papers will be sold at $950. Pups with full AKC registration papers will be sold at $1,500. Full registration allows you to breed your dog and register the litter with AKC.
We require a $200 nonrefundable deposit to hold the pup with the remainder balance paid at pickup. Pup choices will be determined in order of deposits received. Upon deposit payment, we will provide a record of Bill of Sale for your records. All payments must be made in cash, check, or venmo.
